Retro style business briefcase, handmade by Tuscan artisans in real vegetable tanned leather.*
The tanning process is done in water which contains tannins - natural dyes, coming from the bark of different plants or flowers. Today, the rapid tanning method is mainly used which lasts about 48 hours, in barrels, with the rotation movement, that allows to obtain a softer and more flexible leather.
Tanning gives the leather a warm and natural tone. Live leather has irregularities and roughness, and therefore may have darker shades in some areas, and lighter in others. This is not a defect, but the characteristic of real vegetable tanned leather, which adds a touch of vintage charm and true Made in Italy style to the leather.

Brand history: Pratesi Firenze - is a family Italian factory, which began its history in 1948. The founder was a craftsman Egidio Pratesi, who began his activity in the world of cinema, creating leather accessories. One of his most famous commitments was the creation of leather armor for gladiators for the famous film "Quo Vadis", shot in Rome. Soon the Tuscan craftsman created his own artisan workshop.
"Pratesi Firenze 1948" factory has passed through three generations, and today Egidio's grandchildren continue the family tradition, creating accessories using ancient techniques, with their own style and unusual design.
