Doctor's bag / medical bag in 1800's vintage style, in the shape of a classic trunk. Made from real, high-quality Tuscan leather, vegetable tanned according to ancient Florentine traditions*. This tanning allows the leather to become robust and very resistant over time. The main characteristic of vegetable tanning is that the leather is not covered with a layer of synthetic paint, so the entire natural structure of the leather remains visible, which takes on an identity and acquires beauty, ages but maintains its vintage charm.
The tanning process is done in water which contains tannins - natural dyes, coming from the bark of different plants or flowers. The skin is placed inside the barrels containing the tannins, which rotate.
