The Postcards collection is one of the iconic lines by the famous Italian brand Braccialini. A Postcard bag is a true souvenir, a memory from a trip or a fairy tale heard when you were a child.
The Postcards collection was born from the TUA line, created in 1990 for extravagant fashionmongers. Every bag of this collection depicts a landscape, a history, or the most beautiful city on Earth in a cartoon style. These bags are created using a technique of imposing various materials, prints, patchworks and embroidery.
The first Postcard bag was born as the result of our designer team’s creative process; it represented a female silhouette against a landscape, which many people recognized as Capri (an Italian island in the Bay of Naples),” says the brand founder Carla Cecconi Braccialini.

The collection’s name originated from an Italian tradition of sending postcards to friends and relatives when being on a trip. By sending a postcard from another voyage, an Italian somehow wants to share impressions and emotions with his dearest and nearest, to show picturesque places for them to visit. By using splendid illustrations on the front and an embroidered inscription on the back of the bag – a classical “Greetings from...” (as if on the back of a real postcard), such bags as Rome, New York, Moscow, Paris and so on were born... Geographical, thematic and fantastic places – the places we keep sentimental memories about.
